For 2022, Panerai it continuing its sustainable journey and presents a wide array of models that embody their vision. Here they are.
Luminor GoldtechTM Calendario Perpetuo
The new Luminor GoldtechTM Calendario Perpetuo is a limited-edition watch available in only 33 pieces, whose purchasers will be invited on a unique journey to Florence to experience Panerai heritage first-hand.
The automatic movement P.4100, created by Panerai, animates the Luminor Goldtech Calendario Perpetuo. The movement offers intuitive setting that requires no corrector or tools, permitting adjustments to the day, date, month and year through rotating the crown in either direction. Moreover, there are no limitations to the freedom to make adjustments, including during month-end periods and approaching midnight. The GMT function operates alongside the hour and minute hands, with the subdial at 9 o’clock featuring the day-night indicator and small seconds. A 22-karat micro-rotor winds and stores energy in two barrels. The chronometric precision and regulation of the movements is ensured by an assortment that beats at 4Htz.
Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteelTM
The Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteelTM recognizes the critical importance of sustainability goals while maintaining the brand’s established design codes and technical finesse: 72g of the Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteelTM is made of recycled materials, corresponding to 52% of the total weight of the watch (that is 137g).
eSteelTM has the same properties as conventional steel, including identical chemical behavior, physical structure and resistance to corrosion, making the metal a natural companion for the iconic Submersible collection of diving watches.
An engraving on the crown protection device and inscription on the dial indicate the presence of eSteelTM.
The dial and bezel of the 44mm Submersible QuarantaQuattro eSteelTM match in color. Deep blue, gray and green comprise the moody palette of options.
They will be available exclusively in Panerai boutiques and online at panerai.com.
Submersible QuarantaQuattro CarbotechTM Blu Abisso
The foundation for the Submersible QuarantaQuattro CarbotechTM Blu Abisso (PAM01232) is a case composed of the lightest material employed by the brand. Panerai pioneered the use of carbotech, which has applications in the worlds of aeronautics, motorsports and biomedicine, in watch design.
A composite based on carbon fiber, it encompasses a specific collection of properties— lighter than titanium, high resistance to corrosion, to scratching—that makes it feel weightless on the wrist while possessing remarkable strength. Its inherent variegated black coloring ensures that no two cases will be identical.
A titanium DLC crown in a similar black hue harmonizes with the Carbotech construction. In keeping with the Submersible collection’s legacy of underwater exploration, the dial and accompanying coordinating straps are the color of the deep undersea blue.
