Since its introduction in 1992 Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Control collection never disappoints. It is a technically rigorous and stylish collection that never fails to reinvent itself over and over.
In 2020 La Grande Maison has decided to relaunch this collection the 1950s models as an inspiration while adding to them a dash of 21st-century flair. Rather than launching re-issues, the watchmaker has decided to upgrade these timepieces with different complications.
Designed with the urban and sophisticated gentlemen in mind the Master Control line has harnessed and modernized the brand’s classical design codes. It also comes in a new pink gold alloy dubbed, Le Grand Rose gold®.
The Manufacture’s engineers have revised and updated all of the movements, increasing power reserves to as much as 70 hours, and enhancing overall performance and reliability. Like all Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces, the Master Control watches carry an 8-year warranty in addition to the 1,000 Hours Control certification.
Jaeger-LeCoultre improved the reliability, power reserve, and long-term performance of these new movements by re-engineering Calibre 899, the high-performing pillar of the Master Control collection. The improvements, which have been incorporated into the entire range of Master Control calibres, include a silicon escapement, a redesigned barrel, and various energy-saving enhancements.
All made in-house, the master control collection is comprised of the Master Control Date, Calendar, Geographic, and Chronograph Calendar. All available in 40mm.
In general, you cannot go wrong with Jaeger-LeCoultre. This statement has never been truer with the release of the revamped Master Control collection.
