Building on the success of its 2018 predecessor, the Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM, which was intended for the FIFA World Cup referees and football fans, this new smart Big Bang keeps you connected to the outside world on all levels. And let’s just say, it’s quite unique and disruptive!
The Big Bang embodies Hublot’s Art of Fusion by merging tradition -usual watch functions- with innovation -the latest digital technology- in a 42mm case made of titanium or all black ceramic and keeping with all the iconic Big Bang codes: from the “sandwich” construction invented by the brand in 2005, to the screws, rubber straps and the patented One-Click system. The hour numerals are metallised underneath the scratchproof sapphire crystal, which is covered with an AMOLED high definition touchscreen. Just like a mechanical version of the Big Bang, its rotary crown with integrated pusher is used to activate the controls for its electronic module.
Powered with Wear OS by Google, the smartwatch gives its wearer access to apps on Google Play, and facilitates the customization of this connected experience with Google Assistant, Google Pay, notifications, messages etc. The Big Bang e doesn’t just tell time in an analogue way; pushing the limits further as always, Hublot has reinterpreted several traditional watch function complications. The Perpetual Calendar for example features an immaculately precise moon phase. Why more fun you might ask? Because of all the colors and creative art dials! This 1st Big Bang e edition is part of the #HublotLovesArt movement: a series of 8 dials designed by French storytelling artist Marc Ferrero, with whom Hublot had also partnered to launch 4 pop-art watches in the past year. To keep your mood light and your day bright, the dial changes color every 3 hours, displaying a sequence of 8 creations over a 24hour period. The artistic displays are based on 8 special colors: Happy Yellow, Magic Blue, Orange Dynamite, All White, Lucky Green, Magic Red, Rainbow Spirit and Black Magic. And, every full hour is highlighted by the appearance of an animation that lasts five seconds. Color and art right beaming out from your watch!
In a first for the brand, Hublot will sell the watch online on the brand’s website as well as on the Wechat network in China. Since more creative dials created by the talented Hublot ambassadors and Friends of the Brand will be gradually unveiled, we’re looking forward to discovering more ways of being different and unique.
