Sixteen one-of-a-kind lots went under the hammer, with all proceeds going to l’École d’Horlogerie de Genève.
Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo held its fourth annual charity auction on Thursday, 3 September 2026, during the Geneva Watch Days exhibition. After an evening of spirited bidding, the sale raised CHF 115,500 for l’École d’Horlogerie de Genève, Switzerland’s oldest watchmaking school. All proceeds will be donated directly to the institution.
The sale featured 16 one-of-a-kind lots, each a unique object or exclusive experience donated by one of the brands taking part in Geneva Watch Days. The lots went under the hammer of Phillips auctioneer Aurel Bacs, who guided the room through a competitive evening.
The top result of the night was a unique watch design by Konstantin Chaykin, which sold for CHF 24,000.
Founded in 1824, l’École d’Horlogerie de Genève ranks among the world’s most respected institutions for horological education. Its alumni include Christophe Claret, Roger Dubuis, Franck Muller and Rexhep Rexhepi.
The full sum raised will go to the Pierre Amstutz Fund, a non-profit named after the former director of the Geneva School of Watchmaking. The fund provides scholarships for watchmaking and micromechanics apprentices who face financial hardship.
Since its first edition, the Geneva Watch Days and Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo charity auction has raised CHF 519,400 across four years.
