Dubai Watch Week, The Comeback

Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons announced the dates of the second edition of Dubai Watch Week 2016, which will be returning this November, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.

The region’s first dedicated horology event debuted in 2015, with the goal of celebrating the dedication, innovation and achievements of the world of horology, while promoting on the culture and history that have made up the fascinating watch industry. Between November 15 and 19, the watch community -global and independent watch brands, collectors, aficionados, timepiece experts and manufacturers- will gather in Dubai to engage on the intellectual and practical levels.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa said: “Design is at the heart of any creative initiative, and Dubai Watch Week presents the world’s cutting edge trends in the horological design landscape. Vice Chairman at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons Abdul Hamied Seddiqi echoed: “Dubai Watch Week has education at the heart of its annual platform, through workshops, discussions and mentorship opportunities that engage both existing and emerging members of the watch community in topics of both historical and contemporary significance to the industry.”



A large number of brands participated in the first Dubai Watch Week, and that number is expected to grow further in the 2016 edition, with more senior brand executives, CEOs and founders joining in as speakers and workshop mentors.
