The measure of time is something that has conditioned the life of men for centuries. The notion of time while being abstract is one of the most tangible things on earth.
Taking time to reflect means slowing down enough to stop, enjoy the adventure and figure out what is really important. After a year of uncertainty, the world is slowly getting back on its feet. People’s lives stood still and they are slowly finding their way back to happiness, finding joy in the little things such as sunsets, beautiful skies and nature as a whole. We all took time to recharge and re-assess our priorities.
During that time, the watchmaking industry reflected, recharged and evolved. It came back stronger by putting its values and knowledge at the center of it all.
Our journey continues and we look at A. LANGE & SÖHNE’s 2021 novelties under a new scope. We are taking you on an elegant journey where time and space meet, where the horizon and dune meet, where timekeeping and elegance come together through reflections and colors.
TRIPLE SPLIT: PRECISION AND ELEGANCE
When A. Lange & Söhne presented the TRIPLE SPLIT in 2018, it was lauded as a global premiere by the international trade press. The only split-seconds chronograph in the world to date that can measure additive and comparative times for as long as twelve hours. Now, to up the ante the watchmaker is releasing a new version with a pink-gold case and a blue dial.
The Lange calibre L132.1 housed in the Triple Split is a movement that stands out with its three-dimensionality, complexity, and architecturally pleasing design. It highlights the finissage that is typical of the individual Lange components. Overall, 567 parts are perfectly adjusted for flawless interaction. This complexity is not a show, it is mechanically necessary to enable this unique TRIPLE SPLIT function.
LITTLE LANGE 1 MOON PHASE: UNDERSTATED ELEGANCE
The LITTLE LANGE 1 MOON PHASE in its white-gold case is coated with dark-blue gold flux that shimmers with a copper hue. Featuring a white-gold moon that accurately orbits along its course beneath the iconic Lange outsize date. It is also available in a second version with a bezel set with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds that creates a radiant frame for the fascinating dial.
The applied Roman numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock as well as the star-shaped hour markers between them are crafted from rhodiumed gold just like the hands.
LANGE 1 PERPETUAL CALENDAR: TIMELESS ELEGANCE
The new LANGE 1 PERPETUAL CALENDAR is totally focused on the eponymous complication. Its integration into the prominent dial layout of the LANGE 1 was made possible thanks to a peripheral month ring created especially for this design. The new timepiece comes in pink gold with a grey-silver dial or – in a limited edition of 150 watches – in white gold with a solid pink-gold dial. The moon-phase display with an integrated day/night indicator is a further special feature.
The self-winding movement L021.3 is A. Lange & Söhne’s 67th manufacture calibre. Its technical features include a unidirectional winding rotor in 21-carat gold with an additional centrifugal mass in platinum, a power reserve of 50 hours, and a cam-poised balance that runs with a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour.
Time is made to be tracked and when it come to precision A. LANGE & SÖHNE is where style and substance meet.
