The Dubai World Cup, the richest day of horse racing in the world, has taken place at the Meydan race course. And what a day of racing it was.
From the very first moments of Race 1, the 80,000+ crowd were on their feet as the great and the good of the horse racing world did battle for some of the highest payouts ever seen in racing circles.
This year the Dubai World cup had a special lounge, Le Lounge by Moët Hennessy. VIPs gathered in style to spend a day of fun, thrill and extravaganza.
Le Lounge by Moët Hennessy was the prime destination for Dubai jet setters, who wanted to enjoy the day close the race course but with a special VIP treatment.
The nine-race card saw an incredible US$27,250,000 shared in prize money including a US$10,000,000 bounty to the African Story winning the main event of the evening.
Congratulations to the African Story for winning the Dubai World Cup 2014 at Meydan to give trainer Saeed bin Suroor and the Godolphin stable a sixth win in the world’s richest race.
