Basel World 2013 – The Media Day: HUBLOT La Ferrari -a 50 Days Power Reserve- and more.

To start with, Hublot had some big announcements; Jean Claude Biver opened the session, captivating the crowd with his entertaining sense of humor,  enthusiasm and love for the world of watches, before he handing over the announcements to CEO Ricardo Guadalupe who presented first the Masterpiece MP-05 LaFerrari, a complication with an impressive 50 day power reserve manual movement, and a real engine for the wrist, from its design to the details of used materials. Followed that was the Antikythera, another masterpiece which Hublot had been working on, another great haute joaillerie piece, with the Classic Fusion Skeleton and the UNICO movement. It was very important for us to know how great this movement is, from design to finishing.

We had the chance to meet and interview Jean Claude Biver who gave us, once again, some insights and history which we will release in a separate video interview.

The media day was a bit quieter than expected, but we had good news from the side of Rolex, a platine Daytona, new GMT cola bezel, and another YACHT MASTER.

We will be bringing you all the highlights of each day from the 2013 chapter, and loads of seperate stories and reviews about the newly launched models.

Check in for more.
