World-renowned jeweller and watchmaker Cartier has always held a special place in the world of art. Antique Cartier pieces -many of which have been worn by royalty- have been progressively brought together since 1973 to form the Cartier Collection, displayed in the world’s greatest museums and telling the design and style story of the brand. In that context, the maison celebrated this October its everlasting bond with art by hosting a magical event at the recently inaugurated Dubai Opera.
In the words of CEO of Cartier International Cyrille Vigneron: “Cartier remains deeply committed to supporting artistic creation and ensure its global influence.” In 1984, the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain was created to empower contemporary artistic creation and ensure its global influence. Dubai Opera being the ultimate and newest destination for performing arts in Dubai, it naturally offered the brand the ideal platform where arts and music come to life in a memorable way. The event was also celebrated with a captivating animation on the iconic Burj Khalifa, immersing audiences in a journey like no other.
Jasper Hope, CEO of Dubai Opera, shared: “We are delighted to have been able to work with Cartier on this magnificent event for their clients and press and are very grateful for their support.” The event featured legendary opera singer José Carreras’ first performance in Dubai, delivering on its promise of it being a unique and unforgettable experience. The sold-out performance was a melodic example of how Dubai Opera is owning up to its description of the region’s definitive destination for the finest musical events.
