Created exclusively for Hermès stores, the Hermessence collection reflects the creative freedom, the unique poetry and the consummate rigour of Hermès.
The 11th Hermessence named Épice Marine, A fragrance of spices cut through with the invigorating smell of the sea. Stimulating, elegant, contradictory.
“A fragrance from a meeting between a man who lives by taste and one who lives by his nose. A fragrance to discover smells of spices, rum, waxed wooden floors and smoked woods. A sort of escape inspired by the invigorating, stimulating smell of the Brittany coast. A pirate Hermessence.”
We had the chance to experience all these spices and smells, in a very family atmosphere in the kitchen of Top Chef studio. Prepared our own dinner from Amuse-Bouche (Maple syrup hatless egg), to starters (Bergamot poached shrimps & roasted scallops with black sesame on a bed of Nori Algae in a sea water jelly, a main course (chicken supreme in a spice crust, vanilla-infused tiger prawn bisque served with saffron-flavored confit potatoes, and to end if with a delicious dessert (coconut dacquoise, lemon curd topped with citrus segments & passion fruit caramel).
Spending few hours in the kitchen, exchanging and learning cooking epxeriences, touching and smelling all ingredients specially the spices, and finally to sit on a long lovely diner table, just makes you feel invited to the house of Hermes Family, and enjoy a dinner of Hermessence.
Thanks to the diverse creations of Jean-Claude Ellena, the in-house perfumer, the Hermessence collection offers women and men a generous freedom of choice. So many thanks to Myriam and Iman for the lovely hospitality and experience.
Today, Hermessence 11 Epice Marine, has a story for me, more than a perfume, a nice memory everytime I have it before heading to work, on travel, or any occasion. Close your eyes, enjoy the smell, and have a nice memory.
