For the first time in the region, a fashion show in held underwater at the Atlantis Hotel’s 11-million liter aquarium by 10 professional divers. This unique idea was launched by the American University of the Emirates (AUE) and conceptualized by Dr. Franziska Apprich, Assistant Professor at the AUE College of Media and Mass Communications. The young designers showed off their new designs in a unique way.
The fashion show featured eight cocktail dresses, an abaya, and a bridal gown set amongst thousands of fish and sharks.
The dresses will be sold online through Sukar.com for a limited period until December 21. All sales proceeds being donated towards the Blue Flag Programme, a non-profit organization fighting for the sustainable development of beaches and marinas.
