From October 23rd to November 1st 2014, Jaeger-LeCoultre will be actively involved in all the highlights of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, one of the largest and most influential international film festivals in the Middle East. Built on the commitment to curate exceptional programs that engage and educate the community, the Abu Dhabi Film Festival presents the work of Arab filmmakers in competition with the international film industry’s most acclaimed talent.
To celebrate this four-year partnership, Jaeger-LeCoultre was honored to welcome Carmen Chaplin, Friend of the Brand, as guest of honour during the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. Belonging to a long lineage of artists, Carmen Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter, followed her grandfather’s path and also became an actress, director and writer.
The Abu Dhabi Film Festival will also be the occasion for Jaeger-LeCoultre to showcase the Hybris Artistica collection and the Rendez-Vous Ivy Minute Repeater, its latest creation. Featuring 12 exclusive and precious timepieces, the Hybris Artistica collection embodies the spirit of inventiveness brought to life by 181 years of horological mastery. Adorned with a sunburst guilloché ivy motif, this timepiece cultivates the power of the imagination and a legendary aura in order to give time its rightful place. Warmer, richer, sweeter, inherently feminine – the melody played by the Rendez-Vous Ivy Minute Repeater stirs the heartstrings and the ear in unison.
The iconic Reverso will also be part of the celebration, as Jaeger-LeCoultre, loyal supporter of the Arab community will present a personalized Reverso watch to the winners of the Best Actress and Best Actor of the year in the Narrative Competition. The watches will feature a lacquered engraving handcrafted in accordance with the finest traditions, specifying “Best Actor” and “Best Actress” quotes, and bearing the inscription “Narrative Competition Abu Dhabi Film Festival 2014”.
