Chopard creates first ever Fairmined Palme d’Or for Cannes 2014
For the occasion of the 67th edition of the Festival, Swiss luxury watch and jewellery maker decided to bring a newfound glow on Palme d’Or by appearing for the very first time in ‘Fairmined’ certified gold. This innovation is part of the approach initiated by Chopard and is aimed at promoting sustainable development within the luxury industry.
Fairmined gold is ethical gold extracted by artisanal and small-scale miners certified with the Fairmined standard created by the Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM).
