GITEX 2011 – Redefines the Future

PingDubai.com is everywhere in Dubai… and of course we have attended one of the biggest technology events in the region – GITEX Technology Week 2011 (GITEX). This event which has been heralded as one of the largest and most important Information and Communication Technology (ICT) events around the globe.

The 31st edition of the the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (Gitex 2011)t came under the theme “Redefine the Future” which took place at t the Dubai World Trade Center. Heralded as one of the largest and most important ICT events around the globe, GITEX 2011 revealed the latest trends, opportunities and solutions most relevant to the region’s businesses.

Thousands of companies and IT individuals looking to explore and create new business opportunities in Dubai flocked the city. The city was packed with professionals who came to be a part of GITEX, a leading technology platform with an estimated 25,000 gadgets and gizmos from the world’s top manufacturers of electronics and computing devices for example consumer electronics from 160 participating retailers and brands, including IBM, Google, Research In Motion, Dell, HTC, Intel we present at the exhibition.

Several new features have been introduced this year, one new feature at the exhibition this year was the is CyberSecurity where visitors can see presentations and tutorials from the world’s foremost experts on cybercrime and electronic security. Featured companies and organizations include Abu Dhabi Police, McAfee, Noron, aeCERT and Black Hat.

Also new this year is the GITEX Digital Marketing which provides an opportunity to assess, evaluate and analyse the full potential of what is becoming an essential business tool. Exhibitors include Yahoo Maktoob, Ikoo, ICANN and Khellan.

Together with other new additions and changes at GITEX, the event has ensured that executives and CEOs have all the information they need to stay competitive in today’s changing business landscape around the world.
