The Saxonia line is known for its intrinsic gracefulness extended with sleek lines and flawless perfection. This year, Lange came to SIHH showcasing three new models from the Saxonia watch family: Saxonia, Saxonia Automatic and Saxonia Dual Time, with the most notable differences being their different sizes and some distinct animations on the dial. These new models sport a new dial that further enhances the initial graceful design of the line and includes new cleverly placed accents. The overhaul aims at improving legibility. The solid-gold applied hour markers now appear more at the periphery of the dial and the slightly extended black graduations of the minute scale were enhanced to increase their appearance. The subsidiary seconds dial’s tens markers on the Saxonia Automatic and Saxonia Dual Time have been equipped with numerals. In addition, A. Lange & Söhne decided to slightly reduce the case size of the Saxonia to a 35.0mm case because, as Ramzi notes, they “have some clients who prefer a smaller size watch.”
