Avant-garde watch brand TAG Heuer and CEO Jean-Claude Biver popped by TAG’s Villa Puig Redo in Ibiza to launch the latest Aquaracer Black Titanium with their two celebrity DJ ambassadors David Guetta and Martin Garrix, in the birthplace of EDM where both DJs are residents. Fueled by the beat, a passion for music and innovation in everything they do, the two music prodigies are a perfect fit with the watchmaker.
Just like the two DJs who never crack under pressure, eight famous footballers representing La Liga, for which TAG is the Official Timekeeper, joined in on the celebrations and shared their passion for football, music and watches. Taking on the TAG Heuer Football Challenge against a giant target in the shape of the Carrera Heuer 01 Chronograph, Albert Luque, Michel Salgado, Joan Capdevila, Aitor Ocio, Fernando Morientes, Gaizka Mendieta, Marcos Senna and Fernando Sanz led Biver as referee, and Guetta and Garrix as goalies onto the pitch, for an impromptu match.
“I am very proud to have David Guetta and Martin Garrix as our ambassadors. They perfectly encapsulate the #DontCrackUnderPressure mindset and enable us to connect our brand to the youth of today, simply because they speak the same language,” said Biver. In an effort to keep innovating the traditional art of watchmaking, TAG Heuer maintains a youthful spirit, connecting past, present and future.
The just-launched Aquaracer Black Titanium watch was inspired by the lure of the deep, a mystery brought forth by its black, 43mm titanium case and blue nylon strap. The ceramic bezel of the new versions has a sophisticated new design embellished with blue-lacquered engraved numerals. The crystal of the date window also features a magnifier, reintroduced last year. Powered by a Calibre 5 automatic mechanical movement, the timepiece is utterly accurate and reliable.
Both esthetic and high in quality, the Aquaracer is one of the best value watches on the market, and is available in three colors: blue, black-and-red, and sand-colored.
