Swiss watchmaker RJ collaborated with 3 Michelin Star Chef Alvin Leung to offer guests in Hong Kong a tasty discovery of RJ’s latest watch collection inspired by space. Providing a special experience connecting horology, space and the culinary world, CEO and Creative Director of RJ, Marco Tedeschi introduced the ARRAW timepieces that pay tribute to the Apollo 11 astronauts who first walked on the lunar surface.
The event took place at “Demon Chef” Alvin Leung’s Hong Kong Michelin 3-Star restaurant, Bo Innovation. In-between mouth-watering dishes inspired by RJ and the stars, and designed by Chef Leung himself, guests tried on the ARRAW 6919 and RJ Star Twist watches.
The ARRAW 6919 contains authentic spacecraft material from the Apollo 11 that landed on the moon, and features RJ’s first in-house moon phase movement displaying a three-dimensional moon rotating 360º. Available in polished and satin-brushed grade 5 titanium;, ceramic; and 5N+ red gold, each model is limited to 100 pieces.
In a world first, RJ brought the galaxies and nebulas to women’s wrists with its Star Twist line representing four distinct deep space objects. Also limited to 100 pieces per model, each celestial dial is orbited by RJ’s patented spinning bezels in a whirl of sapphire, topaz and amethyst.
This collection fits perfectly with RJ’s DNA Concept watches, joining steel from the Titanic and genuine moon dust.
