Day 2 of our Mr. Ping Life Cigar World Tour Dubai Watch Week Edition -November 18- was a busy one. The evening started at Citizen Kafé with H. Moser & Cie. for a fine smoke and a “Very Rare” experience in the presence of CEO Edouard Meylan: the launch of the Dubai Edition and the handover of the Dubai Watch Club Special Edition to the club members. From the moment they arrived, guests enjoyed an amicable, all-Swiss ambiance mimicking the brand’s identity. In a relaxed setting, they enjoyed refined, smooth but full of flavor Cohiba Medio Siglos, and the well rounded Punch Robusto Exclulsivo Emiratos cigars with a body ranging between bold and soft.
Chief Commercial Officer of Seddiqi Holding, Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, joined Edouard Meylan in welcoming guests, sharing his big admiration for the brand and his belief in what it stands for. For an avid watch collector who’s known not to be able to imagine his life without watches, he definitely knows what he’s talking about. In fact, his passion for the independent Swiss brand is no secret; he had collaborated closely with H. Moser & Cie. on the limited edition Venturer XL Concept Dubai Edition which was launched at a previous Dubai Watch Week as a celebration of the long-standing partnership and friendship uniting the Seddiqis and the Meylans, and as a tribute to the shared values that bring these two family-run businesses together. The stars of our cigar event this year were the new Dubai Edition with its dark fume dial; the Dubai Watch Club Special Edition in a white fume dial, handed over to the devout club members; and a very cool, striking yellow unique-piece made exclusively for Mohammed Seddiqi. These watches bear neither indices nor logos, a clear demonstration that a true luxury product requires no brand identifier.
An abundance of Moser fans and the full force of the Dubai Watch Club made a memorable group wrist shot possible, immortalizing the evening in what can be described as the Moser wrists of Dubai.
Just like H. Moser, “We believe in challenging the norm.” too, which is why our night did not end there. Our next stop that night was a gentlemen’s evening a bit further in DIFC, going from a Swiss vibe to a very Italian atmosphere!
