Five designers graced the runways of Fashion Forward Day 3 at Madinat Area in Dubai. The day included many local designers including the ever-popular House of Fatam, owned by the Gargash sisters. Dubai label Kage, owned by designers Arwa Abdelhadi and Basma Abu Ghazaleh also showed some romantic designs with their east meets west concepts along with Sharjah based Indian designer Essa who left the crowd with their jaws open.
The presence of the GCC continued with Kuwaiti based Tahir Sultan and Lebanese designer Dina JSR who showed us that the East can definitely compete with the West when it comes to cutting edge designs. Essa took the night away with what might as well be called wearable architecture. The highlight was a sexy and trendy take on the traditional kandora for men that took everyone by surprise and left the crowd asking for more.
