New Strikingly Speedy Bentleys

Fans of luxury cars will be thrilled this summer as Bentley‘s new GT Speed and GT Speed Black Edition models speed in! The British brand has unveiled the revised Continental GT Speed, an even more exclusive vehicle with enhanced performance, and a bold, special Black Edition in a dark look highlighted by vivid colour touches.

The Continental GT Speed is the fastest production Bentley ever, boasting a top speed of 206 mph (331 km/h), and even more power and torque. It now produces 642 PS – up from 635 PS – and 20 Nm of extra torque, bringing its total to a forceful 840 Nm.  Applied through the entire rev range via careful reoptimisation of boost control, this additional torque raises the Grand Tourer’s renowned “torque plateau” of continuous maximum torque delivery from 2,000-5,000 rpm. As a result, the car now sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.

The GT’s rich and striking sporting character resonates through the breathtaking Speed Black Edition. Available as both coupe and convertible body styles, the car’s body colour can be chosen by the customer complemented by a high gloss black finish. All-black 21” five-spoke directional wheels cover distinctive brake calipers, that come in red or black finishes. The front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser feature contrast colours in four different shades: Hallmark, Beluga, St James’ Red and a new shade, Cyber Yellow. The mix of dark tones and colourful highlights continues on the inside, with carbon fibre adorning the fascia, centre and roof consoles while a dedicated Black Edition colour split sees the seats and centre console bordered by contrasting leather, available in Porpoise, Beluga, Pillar Box Red or new Cyber Yellow. Corresponding contrast stitching accentuates the diamond quilting of the doors and Mulliner GT Design seats.

With such refined designs and this level of performance, no wonder it takes 110 hours to handcraft each Continental GT at the Bentley factory in Crewe!
